Steven our guide and the driver gave us a most complete trip collecting us from our ship (Diamond Princess). We saw aspects of Shanghai that the ship's coaches could not visit, we had no waiting for stagglers and we were able to modify the itinerary to suit our interests and needs. We learnt about the lifestyle and culture of local people and had lunch in a restaurant with local people. A great day and we can't parise the efficient service of SAT China booking, initial enquiries and the confirmation. Thank you !

I used SAT China services during a month-long business trip to Shanghai. A guide took me around Shanghai, to a water village of Zhujiajiao and to Suzhou.
I found the guide professional, knowledgeable and fun to deal with - pretty much everything a good guide should be. Quite inexpensive compared to similar service in Europe, too.
This was my third visit to Shanghai, so the guide tweaked what I assume is the standard tour to show me the things I hadn't seen before. Tthe same applied to the other two tours. The guide took time to understand what I was interested in and tweaked the trips accordingly. Of course, having a Chinese speaker available didn't exactly hurt when bargaining, ordering meals, getting around Suzhou, etc. I suspect that alone was almost worth her fees.
Highly recommended. Do let the guide know what you are interested in; they will work with you to create a personalized tour.

Dear Min Min,I have been meaning to send you an email since I got back home a week ago, but I have been sick with a very bad cold and the worst possible jet lag in my life. I want to thank you for your help with our trip. We truly enjoyed our two weeks in China. It was filled with wonderful food, terrific people and most of all unforgettable memories. We were soooo happy that we were not on a tour. It gave us a chance to see things and meet people we would not have otherwise met. Jasmine is a very nice young lady. I thank you for finding her at the last minute. Once we got to Suzhou we realized that we would have been disconcerted upon arriving there if we did not have a guide. She worked very hard that day because we could not find any taxis to take. If I had known that and known that we could have hired a van to take us around, it would have been munch easier for all involved. The only negative critique is that we wanted to go to the Silk Museum, but ended up at the Silk Factory and they really rushed us out of there, except for their shop of course. I do not know how we would have managed in Suzhou without Jasmine. The town is a lot bigger than I thought. I think if we could do it all over again, we would have chosen Tongli. since all six of us really enjoy quaint towns with lots of atmosphere. Again, thank you very much for your help with our trip. Hi MinMin,
Out guide, David was great. He was punctual, his English was excellent and he knew the sights well. The most impressive part was his general knowledge, his information on Chinese history and Chinese customs.
We suggested to him on the day that maybe we could do something in addition to zhujiajiao and he was more than happy to accomodate this and made suggestions of places to visit. In the end I think we had a very unique tour because we visited some less touristy places.
We travelled with a small child and again he was happy to accomodate her needs.
The only negatives was that he was very serious. However, this is only a small negative.
Both of of transfers were punctual and the vehicles new and luxurious.
I would recommend your services to others.

Having someone I had have never met halfway around the world setup and coordinate details of a trip made me a bit nervous, but you handled everything perfectly. Being able to depend upon someone to obtain train tickets (and choose the appropriate times to make day trips), recommend an itinerary and then execute that itinerary in a flawless manner is invaluable.
Speaking with you was like speaking to a native English speaker. Your ability to translate came in very handy in several circumstances, whether it was obtaining medicine for my cold, assisting in purchasing eyeglasses, negotiating with merchants at the pearl or silk market or simply giving directions to taxi drivers.
I also appreciate that you maintain a policy of not taking tourists to shops where you get a kickback. That ethical behavior is a big relief when language between the tourist and merchant is such a barrier. I felt that you were truly looking out for my interests the entire time. A true professional.

To anybody considering Min Min,
I can't say enough good things about Min Min. I run a small business in the United States and this past Januray (2010) was my first time visiting China. Myself and two other people were traveling there with the goal of creating a new product. Needless to say there was a lot to learn and do before we got there. Min Min researched factories that might be able to manufacture our product. She contacted them prior to us arriving, weeded out the bad ones and set up meetings with the legitimate ones. She coordinated EVERYTHING for us. I don't know if you quite understand how big of a relief that is. She had train tickets waiting for us, drivers reserved for the days we had to travel where trains did not and the local knowledge to take a taxi when nothing more was needed. We really had to worry about absolutely nothing except for talking with the factories once we were there.
When it came to the translating during the meetings she was perfect. She understood everything we were saying. She even got our sarcasm which is a true sign that she understands English very well. We never had to talk slow or repeat ourselves. It was like talking with a co-worker from the United States. She paid attention and after the 2nd or 3rd factory she knew exactly what we wanted. So from then on we'd all walk in and Min Min would just start talking on behalf of our company. She caught on very quickly to all the little things we were looking for. She certainly has dealt with tough businessmen before and had no problem handing herself.
I could truly write another 5 paragraphs about how great of an experience we had with her. Point is our product is being made as I type this. She is honest, on time, a hard worker and fun to be around. One experience best sums up Min Min: During one of our factory visits we were talking with a "middle man" regarding manufacturing our products. The moment we left the factory the middle man called Min Min and told her that if she could get us to do business with him he'd give her a percentage of the profits. Obviously we are all aware this stuff happens. BUT the point is Min Min immediately made us aware of the situation without ever thinking twice about taking the deal. She was appaled that the guy would even think she'd do something like that to her clients. And she could have made a lot of money off that deal.

I was only able to be there for one day, and had several places I wanted to see and certain purchases I needed to make. Min min speaks beautiful English, which was invaluable to me! Last summer my wife and I spent over two weeks in China and visited several cities. In each of the cities, we hired a local guide, but no one provided as good a service as Min Min. Before we arrived in Shanghai she helped us plan the trip and bought the train tickets we needed. She was very efficient and prompt replying all our emails. In Shanghai, however, was when we discovered the pleasure of touring with Min Min. It was like visiting a foreign friend: she took us to her favorite restaurants and shops and some culturally fascinating spots off the beaten path. We also spent a couple of days in Hangzhou. She was very helpful with the shopping and ordering food and unlike it happened with other guides in other cities, not once did we end in a tourist trap. We hired Min Min for a one-day tour of Shanghai in January, 2009. Communications with her prior to the tour were excellent, and she had very clear ideas of what to show us in such a limited time, but was also happy to add or subtract things as we wanted. She met us at our hotel promptly, and showed us the Jade Budda Temple, Yu Yuan Gardens, the old city, Pudong and the Former French Concession. Finally, she helped us buy glasses at a local eyeglasses market. A great day that gave us a good introduction to the city. Min Min is simply terrific. She knows the city and its cultural treasures very well, plus, as a local, she can provide priceless perspective about life in Shanghai that she's experienced herself or that she's learned from her parents and grandparents. Her English is excellent. We highly recommend Min Min and will seek out her services again next time we're in Shanghai.

I can't recommend Min Min enough as a tour guide in Shanghai. I spent three and a half days with her on my two week tour of China and she did a wonderful job taking me to all the popular tourist sites as well as some that were off the beaten path. She knows a huge amount about the culture and history of Shanghai and China and was almost always able to answer my questions. On the rare occasion there was something she didn't know about, she would usually look it up and get back to me with the information. She also helped me with Hotel arrangements and bargaining at the markets. She definitely knows her way around Shanghai like the back of her hand. Min Min is also very bright, energetic and fun to be around, so she is sure to make your trip a memorable one!

I used SAT China services during a month-long business trip to Shanghai. A guide took me around Shanghai, to a water village of Zhujiajiao and to Suzhou.
I found the guide professional, knowledgeable and fun to deal with - pretty much everything a good guide should be. Quite inexpensive compared to similar service in Europe, too.
This was my third visit to Shanghai, so the guide tweaked what I assume is the standard tour to show me the things I hadn't seen before. Tthe same applied to the other two tours. The guide took time to understand what I was interested in and tweaked the trips accordingly. Of course, having a Chinese speaker available didn't exactly hurt when bargaining, ordering meals, getting around Suzhou, etc. I suspect that alone was almost worth her fees.
Highly recommended. Do let the guide know what you are interested in; they will work with you to create a personalized tour.

Dear Min Min,I have been meaning to send you an email since I got back home a week ago, but I have been sick with a very bad cold and the worst possible jet lag in my life. I want to thank you for your help with our trip. We truly enjoyed our two weeks in China. It was filled with wonderful food, terrific people and most of all unforgettable memories. We were soooo happy that we were not on a tour. It gave us a chance to see things and meet people we would not have otherwise met. Jasmine is a very nice young lady. I thank you for finding her at the last minute. Once we got to Suzhou we realized that we would have been disconcerted upon arriving there if we did not have a guide. She worked very hard that day because we could not find any taxis to take. If I had known that and known that we could have hired a van to take us around, it would have been munch easier for all involved. The only negative critique is that we wanted to go to the Silk Museum, but ended up at the Silk Factory and they really rushed us out of there, except for their shop of course. I do not know how we would have managed in Suzhou without Jasmine. The town is a lot bigger than I thought. I think if we could do it all over again, we would have chosen Tongli. since all six of us really enjoy quaint towns with lots of atmosphere. Again, thank you very much for your help with our trip. Out guide, David was great. He was punctual, his English was excellent and he knew the sights well. The most impressive part was his general knowledge, his information on Chinese history and Chinese customs.
We suggested to him on the day that maybe we could do something in addition to zhujiajiao and he was more than happy to accomodate this and made suggestions of places to visit. In the end I think we had a very unique tour because we visited some less touristy places.
We travelled with a small child and again he was happy to accomodate her needs.
The only negatives was that he was very serious. However, this is only a small negative.
Both of of transfers were punctual and the vehicles new and luxurious.

I would not have had a successful trip if Michael was not there assisting. He was very courteous, patient, and went out of his way to ensure that the tasks were completed on time and properly. His English was by far the best I've heard from any native I've met in China, and clearly his intellect is present when coming with me to meetings. Having someone I had have never met halfway around the world setup and coordinate details of a trip made me a bit nervous, but you handled everything perfectly. Being able to depend upon someone to obtain train tickets (and choose the appropriate times to make day trips), recommend an itinerary and then execute that itinerary in a flawless manner is invaluable.
Speaking with you was like speaking to a native English speaker. Your ability to translate came in very handy in several circumstances, whether it was obtaining medicine for my cold, assisting in purchasing eyeglasses, negotiating with merchants at the pearl or silk market or simply giving directions to taxi drivers.
I also appreciate that you maintain a policy of not taking tourists to shops where you get a kickback. That ethical behavior is a big relief when language between the tourist and merchant is such a barrier. I felt that you were truly looking out for my interests the entire time. A true professional.

To anybody considering Min Min,
I can't say enough good things about Min Min. I run a small business in the United States and this past Januray (2010) was my first time visiting China. Myself and two other people were traveling there with the goal of creating a new product. Needless to say there was a lot to learn and do before we got there. Min Min researched factories that might be able to manufacture our product. She contacted them prior to us arriving, weeded out the bad ones and set up meetings with the legitimate ones. She coordinated EVERYTHING for us. I don't know if you quite understand how big of a relief that is. She had train tickets waiting for us, drivers reserved for the days we had to travel where trains did not and the local knowledge to take a taxi when nothing more was needed. We really had to worry about absolutely nothing except for talking with the factories once we were there.
When it came to the translating during the meetings she was perfect. She understood everything we were saying. She even got our sarcasm which is a true sign that she understands English very well. We never had to talk slow or repeat ourselves. It was like talking with a co-worker from the United States. She paid attention and after the 2nd or 3rd factory she knew exactly what we wanted. So from then on we'd all walk in and Min Min would just start talking on behalf of our company. She caught on very quickly to all the little things we were looking for. She certainly has dealt with tough businessmen before and had no problem handing herself.
I could truly write another 5 paragraphs about how great of an experience we had with her. Point is our product is being made as I type this. She is honest, on time, a hard worker and fun to be around. One experience best sums up Min Min: During one of our factory visits we were talking with a "middle man" regarding manufacturing our products. The moment we left the factory the middle man called Min Min and told her that if she could get us to do business with him he'd give her a percentage of the profits. Obviously we are all aware this stuff happens. BUT the point is Min Min immediately made us aware of the situation without ever thinking twice about taking the deal. She was appaled that the guy would even think she'd do something like that to her clients. And she could have made a lot of money off that deal.

I was so very fortunate to have min min as a personal guide when I was in shanghai. I was only able to be there for one day, and had several places I wanted to see and certain purchases I needed to make. Min min speaks beautiful English, which was invaluable to me! She knows the city, and how to maneuver every mode of transportation imaginable. She was willing to give suggestions if a person did not have certain places to see, and also was very gracious to make all the contacts I desired to make. Last summer my wife and I spent over two weeks in China and visited several cities. In each of the cities, we hired a local guide, but no one provided as good a service as Min Min. Before we arrived in Shanghai she helped us plan the trip and bought the train tickets we needed. She was very efficient and prompt replying all our emails. In Shanghai, however, was when we discovered the pleasure of touring with Min Min. It was like visiting a foreign friend: she took us to her favorite restaurants and shops and some culturally fascinating spots off the beaten path. We also spent a couple of days in Hangzhou. She was very helpful with the shopping and ordering food and unlike it happened with other guides in other cities, not once did we end in a tourist trap. Both Geoff and I immensely enjoyed your company and diverse knowledge, there were things we never would have heard or learnt about in a normal tour, we are sure we would not have covered half as much in the two days as we did with you. We hired Min Min for a one-day tour of Shanghai in January, 2009. Communications with her prior to the tour were excellent, and she had very clear ideas of what to show us in such a limited time, but was also happy to add or subtract things as we wanted. She met us at our hotel promptly, and showed us the Jade Budda Temple, Yu Yuan Gardens, the old city, Pudong and the Former French Concession. Finally, she helped us buy glasses at a local eyeglasses market. A great day that gave us a good introduction to the city. Min Min is simply terrific. I can't recommend Min Min enough as a tour guide in Shanghai. I spent three and a half days with her on my two week tour of China and she did a wonderful job taking me to all the popular tourist sites as well as some that were off the beaten path. She knows a huge amount about the culture and history of Shanghai and China and was almost always able to answer my questions. On the rare occasion there was something she didn't know about, she would usually look it up and get back to me with the information. She also helped me with Hotel arrangements and bargaining at the markets. She definitely knows her way around Shanghai like the back of her hand.
